PROF. DR. MED. FRIEDRICH HAGENMÜLLER
Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich Hagenmüller is Head of the First Medical Department of Altona General Hospital, with a focus on gastroenterology (diseases of the digestive organs).
He studied at the Universities of Frankfurt and Erlangen. Following his accreditations in the field of internal medicine and gastroenterology, he was appointed a professor at the Technical University of Munich in 1997.
In addition to his activities at Altona General Hospital, Prof. Hagenmüller has been President of European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, followed by honorary memebership. He has a number of functions on various committees of the United European Gastroenterology Federation. Prof. Hagenmüller was Chairman Endoscopy Section of the German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Disorders (1995) and President of the German Society for Endoscopy and Imaging Techniques (2000). He is one of the permanent chairmen of the Endo Club Nord and chairman of the Hamburg Working Group of Gastroenterology.
