Daniela von Wedel joined Earlybird in 1997 and is responsible for marketing, communications and public relations.

Daniela has longstanding financial industry experience in both international venture capital and corporate finance/M & A. She worked with venture capital firms, Edelson Technology Partners in the US,and Industrial Development Corporation in South Africa and latterly as a Principal at Matuschka Corporate Finance in Munich.

As head of the department for investor services at the Treuhandanstalt, Berlin (the East German privatization agency), she was responsible for marketing to venture capital/ private equity firms and investment banks, and supported the sale of companies to international investors in her function as Head of Central Tender Office.

She gained operational experience as CEO for a start-up of the Schweisfurth-Foundation, Munich.

Daniela has a Dipl.-Kffr. degree (MBA equivalent) from the University of Munich and was National Committee President of AIESEC Germany in 1985/86.
