Modern technology policy administration system assists regional insurer to streamline policy operations and enhance customer service

September, 2008 – McPherson, Kansas – Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Co. (FAMI) a leading regional provider of commercial insurance products specializing in the Agricultural market and OneShield, Inc. a leading provider of policy administration systems, today announced the successfully deployment of the OneShield Dragon © Policy Administration System.

FAMI embarked on a legacy system replacement strategy opting for a best-of-breed technology modernization project nearly 13 months ago. As part of this initiative they required a policy administration system that uses proven tools-based technology coupled with embedded policy management functionality capable of easily integrating with other systems.

FAMI also required that the system enable the company to be more responsive to customers and agents as well as streamline internal process. An extensive search led them to OneShield and the Dragon product. A key factor in selecting OneShield was their commitment to restructure the Dragon object- model.
